Jim MacDonald & Son offers a professional service for every residential and commercial project we tackle, no matter how big or small the roof. In general, we start off by laying tarps to protect your property and allow for easy cleanup. Your existing roof is removed. We inspect for rotting wood and then install ice and watershield to the lower perimeter. Our team can either hand nail or air nail your shingles. Each method has its pros and cons. Hand nailing ensures a more accurate nailing performance, making sure the nail is hammered to just the right depth. However, it’s a much slower process. Meanwhile, air nailing provides a faster but a less accurate installation.
During cleanup, we use a magnetic broom to pick up any scraps or nails left behind. We roll up the tarps, enclosing any debris. We perform one final inspection of both your roof and property before leaving. Don’t worry about any large pieces of debris being left behind. Our team hauls it all away along with any rotten wood for just a small fee.
